Lighting with a soul.
This Japanese paper Ogawa Washi is made using traditional craftsmanship in Saitama Prefecture, which is blessed with clean air and cold, clear water. The paper is made piece by piece by hand. In this case by the Japanese paper maker Hiroko Tanino.

The paper used in the AND-ON lamp is made from Japanese mulberry using traditional methods and tools. The long fibres inside the mulberry tree are tough and ideal for a strong paper. The LED light penetrates through the Japanese paper and gently envelops the room with soft light. Normally, Japanese paper lighting is framed with bamboo or wood. However, the clear lacquered brass used here also fits perfectly into a modern interior. The light is emitted from both sides, and the lamp can be used both vertically and horizontally.
