At JAPANISCH WOHNEN, individual attention to our customers is very important to us. We want to offer products that match your personal taste and interest. We try to avoid mistakes, but if any occur, we ask for your understanding and assure you that we do our best.
1. Order and Payment
Orders will be shipped only after successful payment. We accept the following payment methods:
Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, Maestro as well as bank transfer in advance.
Orders are checked and processed from Tuesday to Saturday during store hours.
2. Delivery and Shipping Costs
During the order process you can choose between two options:
- Switzerland-wide free shipping. For orders under CHF 50, a small quantity surcharge of CHF 7 will be applied.
- Pickup in store: free of charge
Unless otherwise stated, orders will be shipped within 1-3 business days by Swiss Post. As soon as your package has been handed over to the post office, you will be notified by us. Shipping is at the risk of the recipient. Delays in delivery due to force majeure, traffic disruptions, orders from higher authorities and other unforeseeable events, which are not the responsibility of the provider, do not justify any claim for damages against the provider.
For orders outside of Switzerland, please send us an e-mail with a description of the item and the quantity to email@example.com. The shipping costs will be communicated after confirmation of the order. International shipping costs depend on the country, weight and dimensions of the items. Customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Orders will be shipped by Swiss Post.
The item stock is checked regularly and it may happen that certain items are no longer available, although they are indicated as available. We apologize if this happens and hope that you will not be affected. In any case, we will inform you immediately.
If an order needs to arrive very quickly for an important reason, we will find a solution. Please leave your wishes in the comment field during checkout or write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
5. Return Policy
Please check the delivered goods as soon as possible and contact us if there are any defects. Any return must be notified by e-mail (email@example.com) within 10 days from the date of the postmark. We will refund any payments already made only after we have received the returned goods. Refunds are only possible if we receive the merchandise in perfect, like-new condition. Sealed items can only be returned in their original packaging and unopened. We will not bear the costs for returns.
Hidden defects may also be claimed after the goods have been put into service or used. In these cases, we will provide a refund of return shipping costs, but we must be contacted in advance to arrange shipping.
Delivery of reduced (sale) items is final and returns or exchanges are excluded.
We are not responsible for any loss or damage during shipping. It is therefore strongly recommended that you obtain a tracking number.

Items can also be returned directly to our store in Basel. To do so, bring the item in question and the printed invoice of your order. The refund will be made in the form of a voucher or cash.
