Scope of application of the GTC
The GTC apply to all orders placed in our webshop, but not to orders and purchases made in our salesroom. For purchase contracts concluded in any other way, e.g. by telephone, mail or letter, these GTC also apply. JAPANISCH WOHNEN reserves the right to change these general terms and conditions at any time.
1. Offer and conclusion of contract
Our prices are quoted in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include the Swiss VAT of 7.7%. Shipping costs are not included in the prices. If shipping costs are charged, they are shown separately at the conclusion of the order (step 4. Overview) (see 3. Shipping costs).
Our assortment is constantly updated and it may happen that items listed in the e-shop are no longer available. In this case, customers will be notified by e-mail. Any remaining orders will remain valid.
Prices are subject to change at any time without notice. The prices published on the website on the order date apply.
2. Order and payment
Orders will be shipped only after successful payment. JAPANISCH WOHNEN accepts the following means of payment:
Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, Maestro, bank transfer in advance.
3. Shipping costs
Unless otherwise notified, orders within Switzerland are usually shipped by Swiss Post within 1-3 business days after order placement. Shipping is at the risk of the recipient. Delays in delivery due to force majeure, traffic disruptions, orders from higher authorities and other unforeseeable events, for which the provider is not responsible, do not justify any claim for damages against the provider.
During the ordering process you can choose between two options:
- Swiss Post B: CHF 7.- (shipping is free for purchases over CHF 50)
- Pick-up in store: free of charge
International shipments
For orders outside Switzerland, please send an e-mail with a description of the item and the quantity to info@japanischwohnen.ch. You will be informed about the shipping costs after confirming the order. International shipping costs depend on the country, weight and dimensions of the items. Customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Orders will be shipped by Swiss Post.
4. Retention of Title
The goods remain the property of JAPANISCH WOHNEN until full payment has been received.
5. Right of return
The buyer must check all items upon delivery. Any return must be notified by email (info@japanischwohnen.ch) within 10 days of the postmark date. JAPANISCH WOHNEN will not refund any payments already made until the merchandise has been received back. Refunds are only possible if we receive the goods in perfect, as-new condition. Sealed items can only be returned in their original packaging and unopened. The costs for returns to JAPANISCH WOHNEN are to be paid by the customer.
Defective items can be returned within ten days of receipt, unless the defect is due to the customer`s fault. Articles with hidden defects can be returned within ten days of the appearance of the defects. A refund of the return costs to the customer is provided in these cases, but JAPANISCH WOHNEN must be contacted in advance and the shipping method must be agreed upon.
Delivery of reduced (SALE) items is final and returns or exchanges are excluded.
JAPANISCH WOHNEN assumes no responsibility for loss or damage during shipping. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to obtain a tracking number.

6. Liability
JAPANISCH WOHNEN assumes no liability for any damage caused by the use of the purchased products, especially in case of improper use.
7. Privacy / Security
All personal information of buyers will be treated with respect. Personal information is only used to process payment, ensure delivery, for internal analysis or to send newsletters, which can be unsubscribed at any time. Credit card transaction is processed through Stripe. JAPANISCH WOHNEN does not pass on any data to third parties.
8. Copyright
The website including all images, text and other content used on this website are the property of JAPANISCH WOHNEN and protected by copyright. Any use of these contents, for commercial and personal purposes, is not permitted.
9. Place of jurisdiction
Our business activities are based exclusively on Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Bern.
