Kakemono tea ceremony

"弄花香滿衣" (= Hanawo rosureba kaori koromoni mitsu)
弄 means to touch and fiddle 花 means flower 香 means smell 満 means to fill 衣 means clothes.
In short, when you touch and fiddle flowers, your clothes are filled with a good smell.

Meidō Sōsen (1768–1837)

Born into the Tashio family of the Sasayama domain. Became a Zen priest under the monk Tomei of Daitokuji Temple. Resident of Shoruiji Temple in Katada, Shiga. The 429th head of Daitokuji.
