Yuzu Ryokucha
CHF 16.00

For this Kamairicha blend, Mr. Miyazaki chose the particularly suitable tasty round Yabukita. Oxidation is stopped by a traditional kiln firing (Kamairicha). The blend with blueberry leaves and yuzu creates a refreshing, subtle tart flavor spectrum of yuzu and kamairicha with slight astringency and nice umami.

Kamairicha is gently pan- or oven-roasted green tea, making it a particular rarity, as Japanese green tea, such as Sencha, is otherwise characterized by its attenuation. Compared to Senchas, these teas are therefore more restrained, less "grassy", less bitter and astringent, at the same time sweeter and nutty, with a longer aftertaste.

Miyazaki Sabo is known for its high quality teas, which have won several of Japan`s highest awards, especially for its Kamairicha teas.

To ensure a good tea experience, tea bags should be steeped in 90°C water for about 1.5 minutes. As a guide, one tea bag can be used for 200 ml of water. This tea tastes especially good chilled in the summer!
