Noren (hemp) Goldfish

This noren is hand dyed by artisans with a bold and abstract goldfish pattern. The fabric is made of 100% hand-woven hemp called Iono-ori, which has both a soft, gentle texture and a firm, sturdy feel that can only be achieved by hand-woven fabrics. The colors are all hand dyed by the artisans.

Noren are traditional Japanese partitions made of fabric that are hung between rooms, on walls, or in door or window openings, usually with one or more vertical slits to allow easier passage or viewing.
