The hand-woven bookmark made of 100% hemp in the shape of a deer has a special meaning:
The city of Nara is located in the south of Japan`s main island of Honshu and, in addition to about 400000 human inhabitants, is also populated by about 1200 deers. The animals have been part of the cityscape for centuries and are revered as sacred by the inhabitants of Nara.

The front and back sides have different colors.

The most attractive feature of the hemp fabric is the finish, which gives a sense of depth and shadow due to the three-dimensional surface.
